Contrefaçon is a game designed to help children aged 5 to 10 develop selective attention and visual discrimination skills. Players observe a series of images that have slight differences between them. They must find the card identical to the one turned over on a pile as quickly as possible in order to win the latter. The different levels offered make it an evolving game adapted to the abilities of each child.

The game includes 84 cards and offers four difficulty levels with increasingly subtle differences between images. Comparing images also requires engagement of the child's short-term memory. Indeed, to become skilled in the game, the player benefits from memorizing the characteristics that distinguish the images in order to direct his research. This particularity of the game also distinguishes it from a more classic visual search game and makes it a little more difficult than the Placote Chasseurs en herbe game.
