In Tianxia, a Chinese vision of world order meaning "all under one sky," players take on the roles of noble family leaders seeking to increase their prestige and gain the favor of the powerful rulers who govern the seven warring kingdoms. The game unfolds over four rounds, during which you appoint governors in the various regions, strengthen the power of rival royal families in the hope of winning their favor, and sell goods to merchant ships that ply the Chinese coast to enrich yourself and gain advantages. However, don't forget the nomadic warriors who constantly threaten the northern borders of the seven kingdoms. To counter this, you will need to train soldiers, build walls, and erect towers to weaken these invaders and protect your family's interests and prestige. With each round, the Xiongnu gather in ever-increasing numbers at the borders of the seven kingdoms. When they reach the border, a battle ensues, and all players must participate. At the end of the game, the player who proves to be the best governor, politician, merchant, and protector wins!
