Casque chèque chat (French)

Do you love talking with marshmallows in your mouth? Then welcome to "CASK CHECKING CAT?", an explosive and fun party game in which you guess, or have others guess, expressions using words that have nothing to do with each other, but sound almost the same... (Well, not quite!)

In "Casque Chèque Chat?" ("what's that?"), players must have others guess expressions, movie titles, songs, etc. using distinct... but similar phonetics.

To play, players are divided into two teams, each team is then divided into two groups. In each new round, two groups will be the guessers, the other two will be the clue givers. Once the expression is chosen, the clue givers place "hmmm" tiles in the center of the table, to indicate the number of words and the number of phonetic syllables per word. This will allow the guessers to find their way around what they have to guess. The clue givers must then find and write clues on slates, placed opposite the "hmmm" tiles. The idea is to find existing words that have nothing to do with the spelling or meaning of the expression to be guessed.

If you get the right answer and your Clue Giver has placed a slate along the Hmmm tiles (i.e., if you get the answer without only your opponents giving clues), then your team scores the point. Otherwise, the round is declared a draw. Well, you don't think you'll get all the glory when everyone else has done all the work!
