The Atiwa Range is a region in southeastern Ghana, Africa, made up of steep-sided hills with relatively flat tops. Much of the range includes an evergreen forest reserve, which is home to many endangered species. However, logging and bushmeat hunting, as well as gold and bauxite mining, are putting great pressure on the reserve.

Meanwhile, in the nearby town of Kibi, the mayor is causing a stir by giving shelter to large numbers of fruit bats in his own backyard. This man recognized the great value of these animals in the deforested areas of our planet: Fruit bats sleep during the day and fly off at sunset in search of food, looking for suitable fruit trees up to sixty kilometers away. They excrete the seeds of consumed fruit, which they spread over large areas on their way home. A single colony of 150,000 fruit bats can reforest up to two thousand acres per year.

Just like this mayor in Atiwa, you know that fruit bats - once despised and hunted as mere fruit thieves - are actually incredibly useful animals, spreading seeds over large areas of the country. In doing so, they help reforest fallow land and, in the medium term, improve crops. This awareness has led to a symbiotic cooperation between fruit bats and fruit growers. The animals are kept as "pets" in order to increase the size of the fruit farms more quickly. Large trees are left as roosts, providing them with shelter rather than hunting them for their meager meat. However, if you have a lot of fruit bats, you need a lot of space...

In the game, you'll develop a small community near the Atiwa Mountain Range, creating homes for new families and sharing your new knowledge about the negative effects of mining and the importance of fruit bats to the environment. You must acquire new land, manage your animals and resources, and grow your community. The player who finds the best balance between the needs of their community and the environment wins.
