Arigatō is a strategic and competitive card game where you play the role of the person in charge of your Village. Combine the best Artisan cards to achieve victory. Recruit the best artisans to gain the Shogun's favor and prevail over neighboring villages. A game consists of 12 rounds, each comprising 3 distinct phases played simultaneously:
1. Dawn: Role Assignment. Secretly choose the role of each of your 5 Artisans in hand (1 Resident, 2 Travelers, 2 Crafters).
2. Day: Village Management. Reveal your Artisan cards and trigger their effects according to their role, then manage your village. Use the items you obtain to prepare offerings and send your artisans to the Shogun's palace. Each artisan sent will bring you favor at the end of the game.
3.Twilight: End of turn. Check if you fulfill the Shogun's whims for today, and score extra favors. Some artisans can grant you additional favors during the game if their conditions are met.
The player with the most favors wins. The multitude of possible effects and various dilemmas (keep vs. give, produce vs. keep, send to the Shogun vs. take advantage of the power...) offer a rich and strategic gaming experience.
