“The world is drowning. When The Everrain began, no alarms held; no call to action was shouted. But as the weeks turned into months and the months turned into years, it became clear that the rain would not stop. It's been 5 years now, and the rain hasn't stopped for a minute during that time. Lands and places have begun to disappear under the waves, and soon the rising tides will sweep us all away. We have to do something, otherwise a watery grave will be the fate of everything to adorn the earth.
At first we didn't know the cause of the Everrain, but it's become painfully clear that the old ocean gods have woken up and are angry. For too long the people and creatures of the land have prospered, and the old gods have appeared to usher in a new age of the sea. We had to do something, before all was lost in the rising tides. Gather your crew, brave heroes, and find a way to grant peace to the Gods and bring them back to their slumber.
Stop the Everrain... or drown in the deluge of the new world.
The Everrain is a cooperative exploration game where players must each assemble their own motley crew of feisty sailors and take to the dark seas of a drowned world beneath the curtain of an endless, oppressive storm that threatens to drown the world.
The Ancient Ancients of the Sea have awakened and begun to reshape the world in their image, and unless something is done all will drown in the rising tides. Players must explore this dark and eerie world, complete quests, expand their crew, upgrade their ship, and investigate the source of the Everrain before it's too late.
From humble beginnings, each player must cross the seas of Everrain to discover new places. The board is randomly generated from modular tiles, leading to a completely unique layout each time the game is played.
Each player starts with their own ship and a skeleton crew, but more experienced crew can be found in dark taverns in port towns, rescued from shipwrecks, and even rewarded for completing quests.
The game progresses by completing quests that can warrant plot points, but players should beware as the Old God's minions also seek to further their own agendas. Combat can take place from ship to ship and even aboard a player's ship, so every crew member needs to be ready for almost anything!
